We are a startup apparel company with a few goals:

  1. Provide quality, comfortable clothing
  2. Promote space and science education
  3. Integrate blockchain technologies where it is appropriate

And I'm going to be honest, I started this business to wear cool and comfortable shirts with an astronaut logo on them.

I've been involved with the space community since 2013, when I moved out to Colorado. After serving 3 years as a Signal Corps Officer in the Army National Guard, I became a Space Operations Officer in 2014. I enjoy learning about space technology, specifically anything to do with manned spaceflight, so I started a Master's degree in Aeronautics through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. My focus is in Space Studies and Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems. I want to fly a drone on Mars someday!

Additionally, I worked IT for a school district while waiting for active duty orders back in 2013-2014. This is when I learned all I could about Bitcoin and blockchain technology. A small mining operation began and I was able to get involved in the Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Vertcoin communities. Later on, I discovered Ethereum, and knew I wanted to start something on that platform. We are in the beginning stages of creating smart contracts to add transparency and facilitate better business practices, while ultimately leading toward a decentralized autonomous organization where everyone can own a piece of Astronaut Apparel.

Lastly, I volunteered some hours at the Space Foundation in Colorado Springs between 2014-2016 and want to give back to the community. It is my hope that I can become a sponsor of the Space Foundation and help educate young people with an interest in space. I want to also be able to send kids to space camp in Huntsville, Alabama as I feel like that would be an experience of a lifetime. I'll be looking at ways to promote space and science awareness and giving back as best I can.
